Hey, everyone!
Yesterday (9/16), we split you up into 2 rooms, in 2 separate groups: top team applicants & meeting attendees. For those of you who weren't at the meeting, here's a recap:
EVENTS
Study events test your knowledge of the event's topic. If you enjoy:
MATH, check out Astronomy, Codebusters, Fermi Questions, and Remote Sensing!
EARTH SCIENCE, check out Dynamic Planet, Forestry, Green Generation, and Rocks & Minerals!
BIOLOGY, check out Anatomy & Physiology, Cell Biology, and Disease Detectives! We prioritize biology events for upperclassmen, who have already taken biology classes, but don't let that discourage you as a freshman!
Lab events test you based on experiments. If you enjoy:
QUICK THINKING, check out Experimental Design, Forensics, and Write It Do It!
ENGINEERING, check out It's About Time and WiFi Lab!
CHEMISTRY, check out Chemistry Lab and Environmental Chemistry! We prioritize chemistry events for juniors and seniors, but we encourage sophomores and freshmen to apply if they're interested!
Build events test you on devices you create! If you want to build:
A BRIDGE, check out Bridge!
A CATAPULT, check out Trajectory!
A SENSOR, check out Detector Building!
AIRCRAFT, check out Flight!
YOUR OWN NEW CREATION, check out Scrambler!
EVENT REGISTRATION
During the meeting, we also released our Event Registration form, which is due next Friday (9/23) by 11:59 PM! We hope you all had time to make an informed decision on which events to take. Before submitting, ensure that:
You've checked out this year's Rules Manual for detailed information about events! It's important to know what you're signing up for :)
Your TOP 3 EVENTS are all in separate timeblocks, which you can view here.
You coordinate events with your partner(s), to avoid accidental partner-triangles!
