Resources

You all received a packet at today's meeting that has the map of campus, schedule, and regional document. Attached are these documents in case you lose your papers/ want easier access:

Getting Prepared

  • Be sure to review the Permitted Materials Spreadsheet to know what you are allowed to bring to each event,

    • You are responsible for club items, do not lose or damage them (goggles, lab coats, lab kits, etc)

  • Look at the time and locations of your blocks, distances from base camp, and keep track of how much time you have in between them

    • Base camp is at Lot S11- Get dropped off at Torrero for closest access to camp

Final Notes

  • Awards Ceremony is from 7:45-8:45pm @ Shiley theater!

    • Everyone is expected to attend. This is a very hype event and the more support we get, the better! If you cannot make it at all, let an officer know with a valid reason

  • BRING SNACKS!! We need all the food we can get if we want our brains to be fueled the whole day and get those medals! Please add snacks/utensils here

That's all for now! Take some rest, and good luck to everyone tomorrow!

About Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a national, team-based competition in which students compete in a variety of STEM-related events. The range of topics covered and skills required is vast – from building hovercrafts to applying forensics tools – but all are united by a common theme of scientific inquiry, and top competitors are recognized with medals.

At Scripps Ranch, the Science Olympiad club works to foster a collaborative environment for students to find success on competition day. For more information about the Science Olympiad program, please see soinc.org.
