Event Sign Ups, Top Team, & Next Meeting

Hi everyone,

Just a quick disclaimer, we will be completely switching over to the 2021-2022 Scioly Email List by our next email. If you haven't already done so, please complete the Contact Form by October 16th at 11:59 pm (and make sure your friends, teammates, or anyone who's interested does it too). You can find the form here: https://forms.gle/Msn8RnHz8B3VbU4EA. Anyone who has not completed this form by the deadline will automatically be dropped from the email list.

EVENT SIGN UPS

Now to the main part: Event Sign-Ups. Before you scramble to sign up for events, please check out all of the events here:

As mentioned in our last meeting, SRHS attends competitions as 4-5 teams, so the other officers and I will use the information from this form to create the event matrices. Do understand, we will try our best to get you the events you want, but your events are not guaranteed. In doing this form, please try to provide sufficient information so we can place you in your events. Additionally, there will be a question asking if you are interested in trying out for our Top Team in the form - This will be a highly competitive team of club members used to qualify for the State Competition (More information on these tryouts below). One last thing to note (I know, there's a lot), be sure that you and your partner are on the same page when you put each other's name down. We don't want any complicated or awkward Science Olympiad triangles happening ever again, so do work these out ahead of time. Please. NEXT MEETING

If you want more details on the events and/or are interested in Top Team Tryouts, please come to our next meeting on October 15, 2021 in Mrs. Fowler's Room (553) at 3:45 pm. This meeting is expected to end at 4:15 the latest. If you have any friends interested in joining Scioly, please be sure to tell them about this meeting! If you plan on attending the meeting for Top Team Tryouts, please be prepared to provide your understanding of your top three events' rules and tricks, your knowledge of the events, and your experience doing the events. Please be prepared to write about at least three events, as you will not be "throwing away" any events to study for others.
