Hey guys! First announcement of the school year wow, please read below for important information:
Last Meeting Overview:
In case you missed it, here's the last meeting overview: How does Science Olympiad work?
Everyone competes in 3-4 events in the regional competition! There are three main types of events:
Study events — These events are knowledge-based. Depending on the specific event, you can create a cheat sheet or binder to aid you during testing.
Lab events — These events are more hands-on. During the competition, you conduct an experiment.
Build events — You and your partner(s) construct a device before competition day to be tested.
Students get ~4 months to prepare with their partners for the competition in February, in person @USD! Though everything is self-study, we have TONS of resources available for you, both online and offline, so keep a look out for those!
