Hey, everybody! If you weren't there at today's meeting, we went over a couple things that will be of great help when you guys start studying for competition.

Our lovely hardworking top team has created pacing guides to make sure you stay on track during the school year, as well as sample ID sheets for binder events. All of this and more can be found in our Resources Drive. Furthermore, we will be having study halls for each event as well as build sessions, so make sure to look out for those. They will be mandatory, so know what events you have and when you need to go. You can find all of the future meeting dates here.

Also, just a reminder that we have a large waitlist! If we notice that you are not coming to meetings, you will be switched out.

Now, what you've all been waiting for. After some very close votes, we have arrived on our team name theme.... Drumroll please...

PEANUTS!!!

We need T-Shirt designs, so if you have a talent for art, please start creating a design. All designs can be submitted here.

Lastly, please donate!! We have a fundraiser going on all day at Yogurt Heaven on 10/18, so bring your friends and mention Science Olympiad, so we can get some $$. You can also give any of the officers cash or submit a check addressed TO SCIENCE OLYMPIAD (make sure to clarify) at the finance office.

About Science Olympiad

Science Olympiad is a national, team-based competition in which students compete in a variety of STEM-related events. The range of topics covered and skills required is vast – from building hovercrafts to applying forensics tools – but all are united by a common theme of scientific inquiry, and top competitors are recognized with medals.

At Scripps Ranch, the Science Olympiad club works to foster a collaborative environment for students to find success on competition day. For more information about the Science Olympiad program, please see soinc.org.
